Simple and Reliable Protection

Comprehensive Coverage for Medical Emergencies

Healthcare in Canada is expensive for visitors, and a simple medical emergency can lead to high bills. This insurance helps cover costs like hospital stays, prescription medications, and ambulance services.
Coverage amounts range from $10,000 to $1 Million depending on the plan. Some policies also include coverage for pre-existing conditions or travel interruptions. If your plans change before the policy takes effect, you may qualify for a full refund.

Know When Your Insurance is Active

When Does Coverage Start and End?

Coverage begins when you apply before arriving in Canada or continue coverage from another Canadian policy. If you apply within 30 days of arrival, there’s a 2-day waiting period for medical conditions. If you apply after 30 days, a 7-day waiting period applies. Coverage ends if you leave Canada, unless an automatic extension is in place, or if your policy period ends as per your application. Coverage also ends if you return to your home country with covered transportation or become eligible for a Canadian government health plan.

If you are 55 or older, you are also not eligible if you are 80 years or older, need treatment for heart disease or are waiting for heart-related tests, use oxygen therapy at home or take oral steroids for lung conditions, are undergoing cancer treatment or have metastatic cancer, have had a stroke, blood clots, aneurysm, or kidney dialysis in the past year, or need assistance with daily activities (for applicants aged 70 or older).
